When the paper’s star writer quits unexpectedly, October seizes the chance to step into the spotlight and land the promotion she needs to fund her escape. But her hopes are dashed when her boss hires a stranger for the role instead. Frustrated yet undeterred, October begins searching for the story that will change her career—and her life.
What she finds is beyond anything she expected but it comes with a cost. Will she expose the story to secure her future and chase her dream of Italy, or protect the bond that’s shown her a new kind of adventure—one she never expected to find so close to home?
Fun Fact: The author wrote with a group of writers twice a week in order to complete her manuscript. The fictional authors in the book strive for one thousand words every fifteen minutes. She did not come close to that number, although there are writers who do aim for it and achieve it. They are superheroes.
